Navture

You can’t choose a future you’ve never seen.

Navture is an AI navigator that helps students explore hundreds of career pathways, try them on before committing, and reroute whenever they change their mind. Built for Indian students, from Class 9 onward.

The problem at scale

Market context, not Navture figures — none of these describes our usage or an outcome we have produced. Enrolment: UDISE+ 2023–24, Ministry of Education (234.96 million). Career awareness: survey of 10,000+ students aged 14–21 by Mindler, reported by PTI in February 2019. Counsellor ratio: Career Guidance Industry Landscape 2021, as widely reported.

Awareness is not exploration. Access is not guidance.

The problem

Students make twenty-year decisions with three data points.

  • Seven careers, two hundred and fifty pathways

Asked what they could do, 93% of students named seven careers between them. India has more than 250, across some forty domains. That gap is an infrastructure failure, not a student failure.
  • Guidance you have to afford

There is roughly one career counsellor for every 3,000 students, against a recommended one in 250. Private counselling fills the gap for those who can pay for it, so the quality of a student’s guidance tracks their family’s income.
  • A decision made at fourteen

Stream selection happens at Class 9 or 10 and shapes the next two decades. Students make it with almost no information and no way to test what any of it actually feels like.
  • Verdicts, not exploration

Psychometric tests hand back fixed answers. Comparison culture removes the psychological safety that real exploration requires. The system raises anxiety at exactly the moment it should lower it.

Today is the system as it stands. With Navture describes what the platform is being built to do — Navture is pre-launch, and none of it is claimed as delivered yet.

Today

With Navture

  • A handful of career options a student already knows the names of
Fifty or more surfaced and compared, most of them new to the student
  • Gated behind a counsellor’s calendar, and a counsellor’s fee
Always on, conversational, and not rationed by the hour
  • Herd-driven — you pick what your cohort picked
Exploration-first, and never shaped by what anyone else chose
  • Every touchpoint starts from zero and forgets the last one
Continuous memory, carried from Class 9 through the first job
  • Static advice that ages the moment circumstances change
Pathways you can reroute, without losing what came before
  • Anxiety-inducing, with one right answer implied throughout
    Non-judgmental, and multi-path by architecture
  • India-only framing, with global options treated as exotic
Global pathways from day one, not a later addition

The solution

Not a verdict. A map that recalculates.

Five stages, and none of them narrows what a student can see. The fourth one is the argument: when the route changes, nothing that came before is deleted.
A single origin on the left, with three routes fanning outward to the right. None of them converge, and each one runs past the edge of the frame rather than ending. Five stages sit along the routes in order: 01 Explore, 02 Simulate, 03 Map, 04 Reroute, 05 Remember. Stages 01 to 03 run along the middle route. At 04 Reroute the highlighted route leaves that branch for the adjacent one above it — the branch it left stays drawn, and the distance already travelled stays marked in Deep Navy. 05 Remember sits on the new route, which carries on past it.

Stage 01 of 05

Explore

A conversation, not a form. The Navigator surfaces pathways the student has never heard of and explains what each one actually involves day to day.

Why Navture

Five things we will not trade away.

  • We give students the intelligence to choose, not directions to follow. The decision is always theirs. The AI’s job is to make that decision better informed, not easier to outsource.

N.O.R.T.H. is not a values page. It is an architectural constraint — every one of these is enforced in how the system behaves.

The journey

It doesn’t start in Class 12. It starts in Class 9.

Step 01 of 06

Discovery

Class 9–10

Widening what the student knows exists, before any decision is due.

Six to eight years with the same student. Phase changes are triggered by signals, not by the calendar.

Built for

Three audiences. One system. Different doors.

Explore your futures without the anxiety. Understand what careers actually involve before you commit.

What students actually say

  • “There are too many options.”
  • “My parents want me to be a doctor.”
  • “I’m not smart enough for this.”
  • “I don’t know what I want.”

What Navture is built to do

Open up pathways you have never heard of, let you try one on before you commit to it, and hold several futures open at once. Nothing you explore is scored, ranked, or shown to anyone else. Changing your mind is treated as navigation working, not as a mistake.

The commitments

The business model is the product decision.

  • No advertising.

    Attention is not the product.

  • No paid placement in recommendations.

No institution can buy its way into a student’s roadmap.

  • No sale of student data.

Ever, to anyone, in any aggregated form that could be re-identified.

  • No engagement dark patterns.

No streaks, no leaderboards, no artificial scarcity, no urgency.

  • No deterministic verdicts.

The system will not tell a student what they should become.

  • No peer comparison.

What other students are exploring never influences what you’re shown.

Navture will be paid for by the people who use it — never by anyone who wants access to them.
